Plaid Skirt

I cut an a-line skirt from this plaid maxi skirt. I used the bottom part of the skirt so I could use the existing hem. Doing this instead of just chopping off the length required me to insert a new zipper. I was also able to re-use the waistband.  I added a lining from a old sheet, which  made it very warm to wear in this cold weather.  In retrospect I would have lined it with a silkier type fabric so it wouldn't ride up when I walk, but it is not that bad and I can live with it. I am just excited that I finally nailed the invisable zipper!!
