I've seen numerous post about making trousers tighter but I wanted to go in the opposite direction and use these 2 pairs to make one bigger pair.
Both trousers were quite stretchy and meant to be worn tight but that style is not for me.
I cut a strip out of the plain black pair, right up the side seam, waistband and all, and inserted it into the patterned pair to take them up a size and make them less skinny.
The method was very quick and easy and I was pleased with the result. I even learned something new about my sewing machine in the process.
The stretchiness makes them super comfy.

This is a great fix. And the pants are really cute. Great job!
