Bedskirt into House & Town skirt

Some Bedskirts are made of wonderful fabric.   Like this one from Westpoint Stevens- it was all denim, and only cost a few dollars at our thrift store!  This project was fun, and a bit challenging, as there were several seams to work around.   The color was perfect, and the skirt lasted my Mom a good long time. =)

Old dress, New dress

My name is Adrienne, and this is my first post over here at the Refashion Co-op!  I thought that I'd start by showing you a dress I made last year:



 Basically, I took a much loved dress of my Mom's (she made it back in 1995), cut it apart, and made myself a cute Summer dress!   I had to piece the bodice front- not ideal, but it looks fine!  =)

Adrienne McKee is a Native Texan who has been sewing for 23 years now (Mom taught her), but is by no means an expert! She blogs about happy and interesting things that happen in her life - be they sewing, crafting or cooking, get-togethers, product reviews and thought provoking ideas, too! Adrienne is 31, a Home School Veteran, and the last of 3 children still living at home. She is currently enrolled in the School of Hard Knocks, and is working on a degree in Advanced Domestic Science.
