The $1.99 Tote

I found this lovely floral pillow sham at Goodwill for $1.99.  I loved the print, but it just didn't match any room in my home.

It's now a spring tote!

Pillowcase to Dress to Uganda

I started with a 99 cent pillowcase from Goodwill...

 

...and turned it into a pillowcase dress...

This refashion is for the little ones, and perfect if you need a baby shower gift.  You can make one-of-a-kind baby bibs out of old baby clothes, t-shirts, or any fabric that has a fun print.  I turned this one-piece baby outfit from Goodwill....

...into an adorable baby bib.

Holiday Refashion

I love holiday clothing!  Inspired by an idea I saw on Pinterest, I decided to make myself a new holiday shirt.

I started with a $2.49 shirt from Goodwill and found a free clip art design on the internet and traced in on the shirt with a colored pencil.

Then using a small brush I just filled inside the lines with some white fabric paint.

The finished product.

One Sweater, Three Uses

Sometimes you find something that you really love, but not in your size.  Like this skirt I found for half-price at Goodwill.

I turned it inside out and stitched across the bottom.

I raided my husband's stash of chain in the garage, and now I have a thrifty, edgy handbag.

I found this valance at Goodwill for $1.49 and turned it into an Obi Wrap belt.

Pillow Case to Summer Top

Hi, I'm Debbie from Virginia and this is my first Refashion Co-op post.  There are so many talented contributors here and I have learned so much from everyone. I'm excited to be part of such an amazing group!  My blog is On The Banks of Stony Creek where I blog about living a rich life...frugally.
