 Hello refashion co-op!

My sister in law gave me a dress for my daughter which had some stains on front side.

I wanted to cover them so I used pom pon trim to make a cloud and sequin trim to make the rain.

A simple embelishment

Hello Refashion Co-op!
I have a little refashion to show you.

I had this knitted tank top and I needed a little more coverage, so what else from lace?

I hand stitched it and...

That's a way I wore it:

A tunic sweater to cardigan

Hello refashion coop!

My mom gave me this tunic sweater which was tight and not my style. Given the fact I need cardigans, I thought it would be very nice.

I made two loops and sewed two buttons of the same color I had in my stash.

Another simple fix

The other dress I had told you about is this one. I bought it at a flea market for 5 euros. It had a zipper in front which I don't like and I have allergy on the material. So, I bought it in order to take it off and make a different closure. But what?

I sewed bias tape and attached it on the wrong side by hand.

Wearing a dress backwards

I needed light and breezy dresses because here in Greece the heat is very difficult and provided my pregnancy the situation is getting even harder. So, I bought two dresses for 5 euro each from a local flea market. Today, I will show you the first:

It's a swing dress and the front was very high at my neck, so I thought to wear the front as back, but needed a fix too.

I wore it, marked with a pen where I wanted to be, cut and sewed.

Then I added a blue lace trim to embelish it and...

I am very satisfied with the result and I may add lace trim to the hem as well.
Bye for now!
 Sofia.

Simple fix

As I had said I hate collars. So the collar of this dress simply had to go:

I cut it off with scissors, but I have to sew bias tape to cover the fraying.

A vintage dress back to life

Here is my mom back in 1975. In this dress she actually met my father!!!

The only thing I did was to remove the collar (I hate collars) and cut the sleeves:

I wear it with all grey:

Total refashion

I had these shoes which I liked, but I had the same problem as I had with many other shoes. I was getting blisters and I tried so many ways to avoid them, but nothing. So I tried to refashion them without fear. If it wasn't ok, I would throw them away.

I took a sharpie and cut all the unecessary and made it a sandal:

I kept this detail for a future refashion. Do you have any suggestions?

Earrings to necklace

I bought these earrings for 1 euro in order to refashion it to a necklace. Excuse my before picture. I had already refashioned my pair and went again to the shop to take a picture of another identical pair.

I opened the jump rings with my tools and reattached them to make it big. Then I made layers.

And a close up

Small change with chain

Hello my friends!

My mother gave me this leather bag which had a very small strap...
I couldn't wear it as crossbody bag, so...

I added chain in both sides and...

Now I have a convenient and fashionable bag!

Plain wedges to ankle strap wedges

The problem with these shoes was that they were loose and coming off.
I could not walk comfortably so I thought to make ankle straps.

I made a pattern and traced it on the relics of an old pair of boots:

...cut it and glued the sides...

...glued it inside each shoe...

...the back...

...used ankle straps I had from some old flats..

...and the result:

Now it's absolutely comfortable and I like their style more.
