Come Sail Away Again

I refashioned this dress sometime last year but never have liked the back of the collar. So this is a refashion of a refashion!

The Easiest Dress Refashion on the Planet!

Sometimes it takes the smallest changes to make the biggest difference.
Hence my thrift store medical smock.

This is all I did:

Come on over and visit The Renegade Seamstress for more tutorials and refashions.
I'd love a visit from you!

Oversize Me

Got me this baby for $2; high five!! So what do you do to a shirt where you like the print but are afraid of making changes in fear of messing it up OOOOrrr are too lazy to make such changes??
You take in the sleeves, like so...
Now I've got the tie-front-batwing-sleeve shirt goin' on.

I'm ready to work this baby!

Prom Bombing

Well, I'm unsure if it's the weather, the unending list of things I have to complete in a given day, or the fact that I have absolutely NO time to care how I look; but, I have been LIVING in my jeans lately.  No, really.  I had to stop myself from buying a pair of "pajama jeans" while at the checkout at Walmart the other day.  A decision that I am sadly regretting right about now.

Anywho, when having to decide what to wear to Little Guy's "Meet the Teacher" night at his new school, there was no question...jeans and a top.  Enter this little ditty:
 From prom bomb/bridesmaid dress to...
jeans worthy top to dress up or down.  The perfect combo in my humble opinion.

'Teal We Meet Again Dress

I loved the pretty teal hue of my choice for today’s refashion.  The dress itself however, not so pretty.

It’s awkward length and boring cut were not doing it for me.  Not to mention that it was about three sizes to big!

I removed the sleeves, took it in and lopped off the length.  I gave a little detail to the straps and here is the finished product:
