Bedskirt into House & Town skirt

Some Bedskirts are made of wonderful fabric.   Like this one from Westpoint Stevens- it was all denim, and only cost a few dollars at our thrift store!  This project was fun, and a bit challenging, as there were several seams to work around.   The color was perfect, and the skirt lasted my Mom a good long time. =)

Button-Down Two; The White Lacy One

Hello Refashion Co-op. Spring is finally here. This top was made with warm weather in mind. I have a small pile of button-down shirts that are slowly getting makeovers.

I took a beautiful but too large white button down and cut it down to the body. It is going to be too hot for long sleeves.

I turned the top edge down, stitched it, and added lace straps at each shoulder. (I appear to be letting my finger nail polish dry.)

It worked out after some tweaking and white matches everything, that works for me.

Old t-shirt into toddler p.j. shorts and bib

Hello!

I recently ruined my kitchen sink (who knew you weren't supposed to leave steaming hot pots in an empty melamine sink?) and, being the optimist that I am - after stomping around and grumping for a few minutes - I decided to do some tie-dying. Yep, that's right. Don't need to worry about staining that sink anymore ;)

Anyway, here's an old painting t-shirt that was in the rag bag:

And here are the new p.j. shorts and matching bib that I made from it. I still have enough tie-dyed orange material left over to make another set, too.

Autumn's Tunic

I NEVER refashion men's clothing... not sure why, I just don't. When I snatched up this frock for only .99 cents, it was mistakenly in the women's section of the thrift store.

It  wasn't until I noticed the buttons on the right side of the placket that I realized this was a man's shirt (women's shirts have buttons on the left placket). Oh well... there's a first for everything, right?

I found this FREE pattern on Pinterest (from "It's Always Autumn" Blog) and decided to use it for this beautiful fabric :)

I hate patterns! They never work right for me... but I'm a glutton for punishment and tried it out anyway. Miracle of miracles, it was super easy. I highly recommend it.

I finished the arm hems and added a binding around the neck with leftover scraps.

DIY TUTORIAL BLOUSE WITH WINGS

Here's my latest refashion:

I decided to renew my old silk blouse.
Here you can see it :

 It looked very boring in my opinion so I added ''wings'' to it.
This refashion is extremly easy and everybody will do it in even less than 15 min. Great  plus is that sewing machine isn't needed :-).
