More Jewelry from Sewing Supplies

I have piles of ricrac floating around my sewing room, mostly from garage sales and thrift stores, so when I saw this ricrac rose tutorial I knew I had to try it. I made mine into necklaces and earrings:

Very pretty jewellery. I cannot tell that it was ric rac at all!

soo pretty. I'm in love. Was your ric rac pretty soft or would it work with the stiffer kind?

The pale pink necklace was really soft but the other 2 were made from standard, somewhat stiff ricrac. For some reason, the tiny roses that I used for the earrings were really hard to sew through when tacking them together - but I used a thimble and got it to work.

This is so pretty! Not being a quilter I had to look up ric rac (what a fun name). Would they be stiff enough to use as little buttons? That would be pretty!

As far as buttons, you'd probably have to play around with it a bit. Maybe if you glued them onto some sort of base.

I've always wondered about other uses for rick rack. Very cute and I love how they look so much like roses not just flowers.
Great job!
