Started with this...garment. Please don't judge.
Not much to say for my choice except: 1. it is silk (the rough kind - love it!) 2. it is red (hotness!) 3. it has side pockets (what! a dress with pockets? A rare and treasured oddity.)
After much hacking and hewing, it became this...
The cut out in front was actually my dad's idea. Almost like a mock crop top, no?

Looks great and flattering. I think second hand / repurposed is a great way to get hold of soft fabrics eco-friendly. Lovely for the office too!
