Simplicity Sewing Challenge and Refashioners 2016 all rolled into one!

Hello, HoffiCoffi here.

I thought (at the time!) it would be a good idea to combine two different challenges going on at the moment.  Namely, the Simplicity Sewing Challenge and the Makery Refashioners 2016 challenge... all wrapped up into one skirt.

It involved using this pattern...

..for the Simplicity component, and for the Refashioners' element...

you had to refashion jeans.  I managed to buy four pairs of jeans from a charity shop - I ended up using three.  After excessive use of a french curve I came up with this.

You lucky to find all those jeans, dismiss any guilt. The piping is a nice touch.
