scuba skirt to top refashion

I made this top from a charity shop skirt and some fabric I bought in Norway.

The skirt was in a nice light scuba fabric but it only had a 22 inch waist - a limited market if you don't refashion!

I used the 2 hour top from sewdifferent pattern.  I didn't manage to complete it in 2 hours but it was quick and simple.

The scuba fabric behaved very well under the machine and I will be looking out for more items like this in future charity shop visits.
