My boyfriend's orange wool sweater was one of my favorites on him, until it developed a number of small holes that I blame on moths. When he gave it up for lost and it came into my possession, I decided rather than try to repair the holes or work around them, I'd just make more—big, deliberate holes all over it! At the time, I'd been seeing a lot of holey sweaters all over the shopping sites, but they seem to have all disappeared since then, so I'm afraid my holey sweater isn't as trendy as I'd been intending... In any case, here's how I did it!
Before
During
I enlarged the existing holes and cut a bunch of new ones with a pair of nail scissors (the short curved blades made this process easier)
After
After tailoring the fit slightly, I ended up with this, the finished product. My friend objected strongly to the holes only being on the front—what do you think? Does it need holes in the back too?
Let me know your thoughts, and see a few more photos on

I say holes in the back too. And maybe one or two on the arms?
What a fun sweater idea! And you look great in it.
