Super Hero Week; Robin

Hello Refashion Co-op. I really wanted to focus on something fun and casual and a superhero shirt seemed like both.

I had these two items waiting to be worn. The Robin nightshirt was too long and the cropped sweater was just not being worn. I didn't like the fit across the chest. But together, they could be something more.

 

I put the black sweater on my dress form and then I put the Robin night shirt on top. I used a lot of pins to secure them together around the armholes. I didn't want them to shift around at all when I was sewing them together.

I stitched them together and cut away the body of the sweater. I liked the sheer mesh, it looked like what a superhero would wear. I didn't want it to be blocked by the black sweater.

I cut the nightshirt to the length I wanted and gave it a new hem.

 

 

This was fun to make and fun to wear.
