From summer to automn sleeves

Hi all,
Today just a quick transformation of a shirt I made two years ago. I really love the fabric but the original sleeves were quite hard to deal with, escpecially when I had to put some cardigan on.

I actually found a little bit of spare fabric in my stash so I decided to make new 3/4 sleeves to my shirt and here we go !

Once upon a...djellaba

Hi everyone !

I found this djellaba last summer in a second hand shop and fell in love with the fabric.

I did my best to deal with that big glue mark on the front but finally managed to make myself a nice "Chardon" skirt !

A Cashmere jumper refashion

Hi all,
I got this jumper from my boyfriend's father. Very sweet and warm cashmere but... too big, too straight, it needed a bit of refashion.

Mexican embroidery revival

Hi all,

About 10 years ago I came back from a trip to Mexico with a wonderful embroidered blouse in my backpack. But the overall fabric was so unconfortable that I never got to wear it since then.

Well, after few months of sewing I felt like an attempt of recycling this embroidered yoke so I made a new blouse (made of a sweet mix of cotton and linen) and I overstitched the yoke. Here it is :

Hope you'll like it ! You'll find all the process and many pics on my blog.

Mythological refashion

Hi there,

Had a party and the theme was "mythology".

I needed something to put on to be Ariane and her labyrinthian thread so I did this with a little bit of red whool : very quick and efficient !

More pics of the party on my blog !

My Cat Elbow Patches

Love this cardigan. But after a while wearing it a lot, shit happened... So I made elbow patches. I used some old thread I was keeping for ages and embroidered these kittens.

From a man shirt to MY shirt

Hello everyone !

Last time I went to the local charity shop, I found this man shirt for 1 Euro... I decided to feminize it a little bit but keeping its boyish look.

So, for my first man shirt refashion, I made 3 alterations :
- Created two pleats in the back to arch the shirt,
- Shorten the shoulder width of about 1,2 inch by improvizing a little pleat on each side of the collar,
- Shorten the lenght in order to let my hips breath... Feminize we said !

How I enlarged my trousers

Hello everyone !

As you can see, these trousers were definitely too tight for me since I decided to quit smoking.

Before

I did some research on the web but I didn't find so many examples of trousers upsizing. So I decided to try my own way...

After

If anyone interested, I shared this 5 steps trousers refashionning project on my blog. And my post is available in English, in French and in Spanish.

Have a nice day !

My "Get-sexy-in-two-minutes" project

Too strict and too deep, this neckline needed a bit of refashion.

So, in two easy steps :

1- I handstiched the end of the "V" which was no problem.
2- I opened the neckline thanks to Gertie's tutorial with the perfect tip in this case.

All the details and few more pics on my blog !
It's Monday but it's okay... Have a sweet week everyone.
