Flared Dress Refashion

Before: A flared/A-Line dress with button-up bodice.
After : A Body-skimming column dress
This was an easy fix as I don't have much to alter. The upper bodice had a snug fit, so I left that intact. I took in few inches of the side seams to make a straight narrow shape. Then, I ripped the sleeves off and finished the raw edges with bias tape (made from the sleeves).
It really is just that simple!

Pleated Maxi Dress to Loose-Fit Tee

Before: APleated maxi silk dress with cute giraffe prints, which I can no longer wear because it had gotten tight around the bodice.

Inspiration: Forever 21 Retro Print Top
and after : a loose-fit tee.

It's not only comfy but super easy to make!

Simple Refashion: Dress to Skirt

A very simple refashion this time which (admittedly) done in desperate rush because I'm few days late to post my latest refashion on Refashion Co-op. So, here it is.

Before: A thrifted shirt dress with cute floral prints. I particularly like the contrasting stripe prints on the sleeves, neckline and button placket. It has a pretty good fit so I initially planned to left everything intact and just cut a good length of the hem. But the new hem doesn't make the dress look anywhere better. So, I decided to turn it to skirt instead.

Another Vintage Dress Refashion

What I loved about this vintage dress was the lovely zig zag mod prints. It had quite a nice fit so no major alternation needed. But the elastic was way worn out, the sleeves looked awful, and it definitely needed a new hem. Tweaked these three, and I got myself a new dress :)

See how I did it on my blog.

Refashion: Knit Dress to Top

I used to love and wore this dress a lot, it was made from soft knit fabric and it has this lovely crochet trimming over the bodice. But it loses its snug over time. So, I decided to refashion it to a fitted top.

Dress to Butterfly Sleeve Top

This dreary old Forever21 dress has a lovely bohemian prints that I really love, but it looks outdated with peasant bodice and full skirt . So I'm going to tweak things a little to give it a fresh new look.

I initially thought to make it a fitted sleeveless top, but the bohemian prints are too pretty to cut up, so I decided to make something that requires the least fabric waste possible, and the perfect choice would be a butterfly sleeve top!

Dress Refashion: Floral Top

I made this top from a dress that I thought I could fit into, but turned out to be a bit too tight for my liking. So, since it didn't fit me well, I decided to give it a whole new look.

What color better describe December other than red, the color of Christmas. and taking red as an inspiration, I decided to refashion this fabulous vintage Leslie Fay striking red dress.

This is my very first project for Refashion Co-op, and I would like to thank you the wonderful editors of RC for continuing the effort to create a space dedicated to refashioning. Thank you!
It's rather a simple refashioning i'm afraid - no major alteration. Here's the before and after.

A simple refashion it might be, but I'm sure you agree that even a small minor alteration can change the whole look-from frumpy outdated to freshier look . I love how it turned out :)
Hop over to my blog, Made by Evyline, for more details.
More to come. Until the next post...
