Top to girls dress
I had this top from a clothes swap I went to last year. I was going to adapt and make it into a dress for myself. However, my daughter decided that she wanted it. So I look in the sides and bust darts, moved the zip and adjusted the shoulders and sleeves, et voila a dress suitable for a child.
More of my makes over on my blog.
Come take a look.

Scarf refashion - sort of
I was given a pile of square scarfs a while ago. This week I tried to make them into a dress for my daughter.
I rushed and the resulting item needs considerable work to make it really wearable.
Here's a couple of pics so far.
You can see what else I've been up to over on my blog :

The Movie Project 2012 - first make and a refashion as well!
I've set myself a challenge this year - to make clothes inspired by the movies.
This is my first - Inspired by the stunning Audrey Hepburn and her many iconic movie outfits.
This dress started out as a table cloth. and is now a versatile dress that I can accessorise as I wish, dress up or down. I might even wear it with my new Red or Dead silver glitter heels!
Pop over to my blog for more details. You might even consider taking part in the movie challenge as well!

50's dress from a Next Kids dress
I made this a while ago, but haven't got around to posting about it. A few years ago I bought a dress from Next. It was from their Children's range, but being an age 16 it fitted. I loved the fabric on the skirt, but it was rather short, and being gathered from just under the bust it made me look pregnant.
So I used the lining to make a matching bodice, bought some fine cotton to line the dress with ( think that cost more than the dress had originally) et volia, one simple 50's style dress, teamed here with Red cardy and Doc Marten Mary Jane shoes.
