Christmas Present - New Sleepwear

Hello folks.  Hope you are enjoying the season !

I have been sewing my little hiney off !  Mostly accessories though.  But, I did make a reconstruction for my sister.  I noticed her sleepwear was getting ragged, as she washes her clothes in my washer.  So I decided to make her another one.  I had already made her one a couple of years ago so I knew what she liked.  So I took the pattern off her current raggedy one and used two polka dotted tops:

And I made this:

I even included a small embroidery of a stretching cat as she LOVES cats, like me.

I am really pleased of how it turned out and she was too.

Sweater Mittens (how original)!!

I know I am not the first person to make mittens from an old sweater, but I had an awesome old sweater that only fit me when I was like, 19. I didn't want to get rid of it because I love the color and how soft it is, so I decided to try my hand at this popular project.

I took these two dresses and combined them to make a festive top this Chirstmas

I sewed the shinny one down right underneath the turtle neck part for a fun combination.

Catching up with my triangle dress

It's been ages since I posted here last. I've been neglecting my own blog, too. I've had a busy month with my my Etsy shop, but other than that, I can't figure out where my time is going.
When it comes to my refashions, it's like, "if it's not a dress, what do I want with it?" Going along on that theme; my triangle dress:

There's not much to like here, with the extra room, length, and too long sleeves.

That print tho

I adore fun prints, and there was something I loved about those little triangles. I just wanted to make this smaller, and with elbow length, cuffed sleeves. Of course, after all the necessary alterations, something was still not right. If I didn't want it to balloon out like that, I would have to make the bodice shorter and that sounded way hard. Unless...

I put the "shirt" into the "skirt" so the right sides were together before making any cuts! It worked pretty well, but either way; I've got belts.

Fitted Sheet

At the risk of being obvious, this one is way too big.

I added an elastic waistline and trimmed it to be a short shirt, blouse thing.
