3 Shirts to Dress Refashion
This dress was constructed from a black woman's button down top and two coordinating black and purple men's button down shirts. The men's shirt fronts become the front and sides of the dress skirt and the back of the men's shirts become the back of the skirt. The men's shirts are seamed together alternately, then gathered at one long edge and sewn to the woman's top which is trimmed to waist length. I added a thrift store black leather belt for a little pizzazz. Please see my blog post for info on the Refashion book that was the inspiration for this dress. It's a fantastic book with 20 cute and easy projects, perfect to inspire avid refashionistas!

Lovely! Those shirts should thank you for turning them into that dress.
