Simple Refashion Using Lace

Gahhh, I am not a big fan of elastic on the bottom of shirts. Why? I feel so restricted in my movements. If I move my hands up for whatever reason, (waving them in the air 'cause I just don't care?) the shirt goes all the way up, revealing my tummy. I decided to get rid of the elastic and sew on matching lace. :)

I didn't have a long enough strip of lace, so I sewed two together.

I don't know why designers insist upon putting elastic around the bottom of shirts. It's so very rarely flattering on anyone. The lace looks so much nicer!

I like this. I'm not a fan of this style shirt and always thought it was the neckline that bothered me the most. This top is lovely. Even the two different laces look good together, very inspiring.

Great job. The lace makes it very modern.

Cute before, but even better after.
