At first I believed the slip was homemade, but it had a tag: "Pussycat" in a groovy font.
I measured the circumference of the upper part of the slip, and how long I wanted the lower part to be, and then cut that amount out of the lower part of the slip. And stitched it to the upper part.
Now I can show the garment off as fashion wear, not underwear.

Nice job!!!
What a cute top. It was too cute to be hidden. I love it.

I agree with you, Saga: too cute to be hidden! Great length too!
Great idea yet I think I ( old 'taste discussion' ;-) ) would have kept it close(r) to its original length.
Please accept: personal 'flavours'; it's not changing admiration for you, your ideas and brilliant refashioning jobs!!!
Loving greets, Gerlinde
I am loving this. I also like the idea of a sewing community where we are all sharing our work. How can I be a part of this and also share my projects. Even though I am not as good yet since I've just started.
Thank you all. Now only to find the perfect cardigan to wear with it, since is i autumn, semicold and rainy here now.
Love how you were able to save the bottom too! Nicely done!
