Hello Refashion Co-op. I refashioned this long denim dress last June, but all I used then was the top to make a vest. I still had the long skirt part. I try to use everything I can, but sometimes it takes a while to figure out what I want to make.
This is what I had to work with. I decided to keep it simple and make a skirt. I cut off some fabric at the top and used the bottom. I wanted to save the hem.
Here is my skirt when I was finished. I kept and used those buttons to open and close the waistband. I added a button to keep the bottom of the skirt shut.
I wanted a conservative length for this skirt, it is just below my knee. It was a super-quick and super-cheap refashion. I didn't need to buy any sewing supplies.
Thanks for reading, for more details and pictures go to I Can Work With That.
