Refashioning a Men's Dress Shirt

Hello Refashion Co-op. Men's dress shirts are great refashion material. This blue one was perfect for making a more feminine off-the-shoulder top.

I started cutting this shirt up. I wanted a smaller straight  body for my shirt. I made a casing at the top and put in some narrow elastic.

I cut off the bottom half of the sleeves too. I made a casing at the top and added elastic to the top of these sleeves too.

I also made some straps from the leftovers.

When I put them all together and I got this long off-the-shoulder tunic style shirt. I liked it but it was a little long on me.

I decided to shorten it to more of a hip length top.

I like how it turned out, it is a great top for warm weather. I like how it covers my upper arms too.

Thanks for reading this, for more details and pictures go to I Can Work With That.

This is a great way to refashion a men's shirt! I might try something similar if my boyfriend bequeaths me any more of his.
