Hello ladies! I feel so bad that I haven't posted lately. My house is in an uproar. With all of the wonderful rain we have been getting lately, our basement decided to flood. Naturally it would be on the finished side, where our bedroom, (and my sewing area!!) are located. So as you can imagine, there hasn`t been much sewing going on. I did manage to make two little pairs of baby shoes recently though. I wouldn`t call then so much a refashion, but rather a re-purpose. I found some pretty coloured beading mats at my local fabric store, and thought I would try using them to make little shoes for my soon to be granddaughter. I think they turned out cute, and the fabric is super soft and will be toasty warm in the cooler weather. I have only embellished one pair so far. I`m waiting for inspiration to hit for the other pair. What do you think?
See the whole post on my blog. Have a great weekend!
Until next time, Anne

Ruffles!
Hello everyone. I hope you are enjoying your day. Unfortunately I haven't had much time to do any re-fashioning in the past few weeks, so I thought I would show you two that I did in January.
My daughter saw two tee-shirts embellished by Sachiko from Tea Rose Home, and she asked me too make some for her. They were both easy to do, and look so cute when they are finished. The first one I did was the 'Ruffled Shirt'. Sachiko made her's from a cream coloured sleeveless tee, but I used a black 3/4 length sleeve top.
Before,
After,
Black is so hard to photograph!
The second tee is another ruffle shirt, this one with rows of vertical ruffles.I started with this,
And this is what I made,
I think they both turned out ok, but next time I make the vertical ruffles, I will sew them even closer together. Thank you Sachiko for the great tutorials!
My daughter is pleased with her new tops, and that is all that matters. Have a lovely day ladies!

New(ish) Maternity Clothes
Hello Ladies! I'm so happy to be here, joining such an awesome group of re-fashionista's! I found this site a few days ago and promptly read through the entire thing. There is a treasure trove of information and inspiration here. You all deserve a pat on the back for your creativity and attention to detail. Let me introduce myself, before I ramble on endlessly and forget! My name is Anne, I live in Ontario Canada, and I blog over at Anne's Antics. Stop by and say hi. I always love company! Well. I imagine you are all waiting to see my latest re-fashions! My son and his girlfriend are expecting a baby in August. Poor Rachel is in dire need of maternity clothes, and if any of you have seen the prices of even a simple tee shirt, you will understand our desire to re-fashion. They are very quick and easy to do. I simply cut off the top portion of tee's that fit her, and replaced the bottom's with gathered 'skirt's' made from large men's tee's! Fast, easy and economical. My favorite kind of project!
My pictures aren't the best, but you get the idea. I made three altogether, but the last pic wouldn't load. You can see more on my blog. There isn't as much colour difference in the pink top as it looks in this picture. In reality, it is almost the same colour.
Have a great week! Anne
