I'm leaving for vacation on Saturday, so I wanted to post my sew along before then. Spoiler alert, if you haven't read the challenges for this season, it's velvet :)
I had been saving this Sparkly velvet dress for the holidays... but, hey, there's no harm in getting a head start, right?
I cut off the built-in vest, and used a Maxi Skirt as a template for size.
Then, using a trick from Beth's "Refashion Handbook" I made some cap sleeves out of the original ones.
I sewed them into my new dress Right Sides Together.
