As an inherently lazy person, I have been loving the recent "athleisure" style. Any fashion trend that makes it socially acceptable to wear sweatshirts in public is alright by me! These thrifted grey 4XL sweatshirts, however, were simply beyond my tolerance for frump. So comfy though!
I detached the bottom band and cuffs and cut out an A-line tunic shape. The excess fabric from the shoulders became pockets. And I shortened and refitted the sleeves. Finally, I reattached the original wider ribbing to the now narrowed openings so the fabric wouldn't pucker quite so much.

I love that you have that tunic length in a comfy sweatshirt. Great idea.
I love a good comfy sweatshirt but I love the refashion wth pockets. Great job.
