My First Pair of Trousers
I made my first pair of trousers! I've been sewing for over 20 years and avoided trousers because I thought they were hard to make. Basically, I had fear of failure.
I used the Juniper pattern by Colette. The pattern was easy to follow and the fit was perfect. I learned how to sew a fly front and slash pockets. It wasn't as hard as I feared.
My husband calls this the Von Trap pants because I made these from curtains found at a garage sale. Whatever. I love the loud print. It's totally my style.

they are brilliant, so colourful, and look great on you!
Amazing fit ! Great job
I have trouser fear too, yours look good.
I have been losing weight this past year and I have been making my newly downsized pants from high quality knit pants in a larger size at the thrift store. These thrift pants have such high quality fabric, not found for sale in the US anymore, that after years of wear it has not pilled or lost it's color. I love it. As always, your sewing inspires me. I've been sewing for fifty some years!!!:)
Wow, the pants look great and that floral print is amazing! Great job, you conquered your fear too.
