Saving a dress from oil stains

Hello, fellow refashioners,

It has been a while since I have done any refashioning. I seem to be focusing on home improvement items lately. Anyway, I have this very comfy dress but sadly it got oil stains on it.

I don't know about you but I have never been able to get oil stains out of clothing. So I opted for a more experimental route.

You can see the process including some mishaps in the video below.

Mostly it was just an experiment with bleach and believe it or not more oil. :-)

Happy Upcycling,

Hi I have had good luck with taking regular chalk (like sidewalk chalk) and covering the oil or grease stain with the chalk and then washing it. It is like magic! It pulls the stain right out. Just in case you need it in the future. You new recycled dress is the bomb!

I like the tie-dye dress. These are great tips from all of you. I normally use Dawn dish washing liquid but it doesn't always work.
