Old lace jacket to toddler lace tee

I took this outdated womens lace jacket.
Cut it all up and created a cute little toddler lace tee!  There's still plenty left to refashion into other items as well!
My little model....
And I left the backside open with a button from the original jacket.

Pretty green dress refashioned into scarf

I just cleaned out my closet again and found some awesome fabric...err, clothes!  These are items I've held onto but I never wear so I figured it was time to refashion some :)

I love green...so I had this dress that is an awesome kelly green...perfect color but not the perfect dress!

Chopped it up and created a new scarf...now the perfect color meets the perfect accessory!

Long-sleeved tee into cute top

I love peace signs!  I took this long-sleeved tee...

And made it into this cute top :)

Maternity skirt into toddler sundress

I love the fabric on this maternity skirt, so I decided it would make a great refashion.

I chopped it off, saving some of the lace pieces as well.  I created a toddler sundress with it.  I love how it turned out!

Refashioned tank top into a new dress and new shirt

A friend of mine sent me a tank top to refashion for her.

I had this awesome matching knit fabric and made her a dress using the top portion of the tank top.

After, I decided to make a cute shirt using the bottom portion of the tank top and some left-over fabric.

Sweater turned into pencil skirt

My mom cleaned out her closet and I always love going through the bags to see if I find anything with refashioning potential. I grabbed this sweater out of the pile.
I chopped off the arms (which I later used to create a waistband) and chopped off the neckline. I created this cute new skirt using the bodice as the new skirt and both sleeves to create the wide waistband.

Maternity top refashioned into toddler dress

I took this old maternity top.
Chopped it in half to use the bottom half and took one of my daughters old (stained) tops.
Chopped the sleeves off, created new sleeves, a bow in the back, ruffle in the front...and ultimately created this new little dress for my 17 month old!

Turtleneck into top

I took this turtleneck that I never wear, flipped it upside down where the neck became my waist, took off the sleeves and took in the sides and created this new top.

Silky dress turned into pretty top

All of my refashions come from my own closet...I have a ton of clothes I've collected over the years, even though I donate, swap and give away...I still have a lot! I've had this dress for years and wore it once. I love the color and silkiness of the fabric so I chopped off the bottom portion and made it into a cute top.

Mama+baby+sling sleeve

Hi, I'm a new contributor here (RefashionMama) and am very exited to share my refashions with you!

This is my latest refashion. I decided I needed to make something that would keep my little one warmer while in my sling when it's cold outside. I made a sleeve out of an old sweatshirt to wear over her.All you need is an old sweatshirt..

A sling...
A little one...

Plus scissors and basic sewing skills (if you need to resize your sweatshirt). Please see my full tutorial on my blog at http://refashionmama.wordpress.com/2012/01/24/my-creation-mamababysling-sleeve-diy/. Also, please feel free to follow me on Twitter or Pinterest @RefashionMama.
