T-shirt from the stash / scraps
I've had the stripe fabric I used for this t-shirt in my stash so long I don't remember where it came from - but it was an off cut and I only ever had enough for part of a t-shirt. The strips are navy, light blue and white, and I love the colour combination, but it was hard to find other fabrics that worked.
Then I started planning an Alabama Chanin t-shirt project with the two t-shirts above (more on that eventually) and the light blue t-shirt was a perfect colour match. I also had some scraps from a navy blue maxi-dress that I've been cutting up for years - and the plan came together.
The light blue t-shirt has a mysterious white-ish mark which I thought was bleach but it only shows on the right side. So I used the 'purl' side of the knit fabric on the outside. I can tell but I doubt anyone else will ever notice it's technically the wrong side. I took a close up photo but you can't tell in the photo either. The pattern is one I've been tweaking for a long time and this t-shirt has a slight high-low hem. Buttons on the neckline for fun.
I'm happy to have made something useful from items in my stash of refashions and fabric left-overs.
Happy refashioning!

Scraps to toddler clothes
I took the scrap pieces of an old pair of sweats that I made into shorts...
Cut off a strip on top of both pieces.
Created a toddler maxi skirt and a pair of leggings.

Denim Jacket
A while ago I bought a 2nd hand, thigh length, light weight denim jacket. It was a great weight for spring & autumn here in Brissie, and a good colour, just a bit boring & shapeless.
So I jazzed it up a little with Suffolk Puffs (yo-yos) made from quilting scraps and changed the line with a 'fake' belt.
The result is a much more stylish (I think) jacket that can still be worn with a lot of outfits.

Jeans pocket wristlet!
Been quite a while since I last blogged ! Spent some time tearing my hubby's old jeans apart and I've made a couple of projects. Now down to the top part. Here's a wristlet I made with the back pockets. Everything is recycled, including the zipper!! Well, may be not the thread - that's new :-)
Hope you like it!

Scraps to useful tailors ham
I have wanted one of these for ages, so I made two! One ham and one sleeve roll.
The front is flannel, it was once a pj top that my daughter didn't want (she likes a t-shirt style and the pants were too cute to pass by) and the back is made from scraps, left after I made a woollen coat. The are filled with chopped up scraps of these and other fabrics, jammed in there super tight.
I love my new tailor's hams. I dont know how I managed without one (or two) for so long. I am planning on making a super huge one too. Just collecting the scraps.....
To check out the cakes I made this week (totally not refashioned...sorry) find me on facebook, just search for Lollean.
Scraps to snuggly warm quilt
I made this little beauty a few months ago. The top is made totally from fabric scraps, the inside is an old woollen blanket from the op shop (carefully washed) and the backing is some beautiful end of roll I bought far too much of and had been sitting in the stash for ages.
Not technically a refashion but it is something new from old
