Update to my 27 dresses series!  We have for you two hits, one miss :(

And another top for me that doesn't fit properly.  I love the style of it, so I'm going to try fixing it, just, you know, not right now...

27 dresses

I have a LOT of clothes for refashioning in my stash.  The amount of things I have for refashioning is starting to exceed the amount of space I have for storing it.  So I had an idea.  A series of posts where I refashion one dress per week!!!  My sis says to call it 27 Dresses after the movie, and I thought that was cute.  Anyway, here is my first dress:

I had some left over, and was able to make this tank (using a crocheted table thing for the back):

So, yeah,  I took pictures of the projects while I was sewing them, so expect to see something like a tutorial soon on my blog.

hello again!

Hi everyone!  Back in the day, I used to post on this blog, but then time got away from me and I wasn't sewing nearly enough so was unable to post here anymore.  But now I am back and I just wanted to thank the folks behind Refashion Co-op for letting me rejoin!  I am so excited to be back.

So here are a few things I've put together in the past couple of months that I wanted to share:

All of these can be seen on my blog, where there is also a tutorial for the wallet.  A tutorial for the shirt is in the works (still...), and you can find the pattern for the shawl on Ravelry - it is the Cyrcus shawl courtesy of Madeline Wardrobe.  My shawl is knit in 100% recycled cashmere yarn from a pulled-apart sweater, made for my grandma.  Happy sewing!  I will be back soon!  (I'm quite determined lol)
