Here is a picture of my latest "before" in my ongoing series. I have
to thank all of those BBW out there who have lost some weight and
donated to our thrift conscious community. As I have stated before,
those large pieces are a wealth of fabric opportunities. This 3x blouse
was a beautiful chiffon with self fabric bias tape flowers sewn into the
print for a 3 dimensional effect.

Here is the finished product made with my trusty original pattern. This version has elbow sleeves and bias tape neckline.

Now on to the tutorial of how this refashion happened!
.
Remember my original pattern? This time I used all but the sleeve.
.
1) The first step was to unpick the sleeves and side seams. Then I
folded the front and back together on the center front and center back
as seen in this picture. I had to lay the pattern lower in order to get
the entire thing across the body but I had to change the shape of the
bottom hem as you can see here.
.
.
2) Using the original sleeve, I fit it into the new armhole and slimmed it accordingly
.
.
3) The neckline was finished with with black bias tape
.
.
The final outcome!
Next week I will be taking a break from
this series as Part 5 has been a huge challenge but I promise I will
have something good. Can't wait to hear what you all think.

This is such a good idea. You know it will fit, it is just about making it different each time. Very inspiring.

I love that you are making a refashion from a pattern you know and trust. This is one of my favourite ways to refashion.
