I shouldn’t play favorites, but I have to let you know…I love refashioning old lady dresses more than anything else. There. I said it, and I’m standing by it. :)
Most of these bad dresses I get are by Liz Claiborne. Liz. Liz. Liz. Tsk! Tsk! What the hell were you thinking?
I ripped out those shoulderpads, chopped off those massive sleeves, took the whole thing in a good bit and shortened it.
I think it looks quite awesome now! :)
I cinched the waist with the obi belt I made for my trouser dress a few months ago. :)
You can read more about this refashion on my blog, ReFashionista. :)
Cheers!

Now I would say this is very "80's" styling! And meant for a larger figure than yours... I remember the decade quite well, it was a popular style! Thankfully, it stopped being stylish quite awhile back...
You look quite styling in your version of it! And you probably have enough left over to make something else, none "80"ish of course!
You look really awesome in this refashion. Very on trend too! Great job.
I laughed when I saw the first picture! So huge! You did a great job, and I like the obi belt that contrasts well with the fabric color.
I love your refashion, but don't knock Liz.. us larger girls relied heavily on Liz for something stylish, comfortable, good fabrics and well made back then.♥
That is super hot!
