Simple Blanket Stitch Jacket Upcycle


Hello my fellow re-fashioner.

I altered this jacket because I didn't like the weird sleeve length.  And because I actually like to sew by hand. :-)

Weird sleeve length? Yeah!

Gotta love blanket stitch. My seven year old nephew 'taught' me this a few years ago (I did not let on that I studied at the Royal School of Needlework for a year in my thirties of course). If a kid can learn it -- we all can!

Handsewing rocks! I used to hate it but am loving it more and more these days. :-) The jacket looks great with those smple changes!
