Teal top/curtain refashioned into a bag

Sometimes you have some fabric that you like but don't know what to make it into.

Other times you know immediately what to use it for.

This was one of those times.

I found a delicious chrysanthemum curtain and decided to put it together with a teal top that I already had, but no longer loved.

And make a shoulder bag with it.

I love putting different patterns and colours together.

More details of this and other refashions can be found on my blog:

Happy refashioning!!

Great simple refashion! This looks like something that you could easily be buying at a store for a lot more than you probably paid for the curtain.

I would not have thought to put the 2 fabrics together, but they look great!

Cute bags Selena! I realize you are selling your bags, but it might be nice if you provided a *hot tip* or two for our readers. You don't need to give away all your secrets, but just some ideas in the spirit of sharing. :)

Have not thought to use curtain fabric to make totes. Have seen a gorgeous retro pink floral curtain at the thrift store with lining that would be ideal for a tote bag.

Lovely bag! the teal lining is definitely elegant.
If anyone is interested I'm pretty sure that fabric is on ebay in one of the Korean fabric stores. I saw it when looking for fabric to make curtains, haha.
