Denim and Lace Mother's Day Refashion

My mother absolutely hates when my kids wear jeans with holes in them. In fact I'm pretty sure they do it just to see her give me "the look".

This year for Mother's Day, not only will she have one less pair of ripped jean's to look at, she will also have a brand new cell phone case to make it much easier to keep track of her phone!

To make this case I used the scraps from the cutoff jean's, scraps of lace from my stash, a broken necklace, and some Velcro that I always have on hand. I also borrowed her cell phone while she was taking a nap.

I used the cell phone to determine the size of the case and then cut and lined the fabric. From there it was just a matter of sewing everything together. You can see a full tutorial and more pictures here.

This also works great for a small digital camera case as well.
