I purloined my husband's carpenter jeans!

My husband's employer buys clothes annually for its staff, so the man has more jeans the people wear on Earth Day. I purloined his pants, bleached them, and dyed them by following the superb guidelines for bleaching denim from The Little Giggler.
I used RIT Dye "Petal Pink," so that my husband would not want them back! Today's post on my blog, the Embarrassing Disgrace, has more photos.
Washed and dried and still lookin' filthy!!

What I'm Wearing Today:
  • Thrifted denim blouse
  • Refashioned (dyed) cardigan
  • The Jeans in pale pink
  • Sanita's wooden clogs

OMG. I am so remembering that one: dye it pink so your guy doesn't pinch it back.

Everybody go write that down!

I like the little flashes of blue from where the bleach didn't catch - it looks like little patches of blue sky peeking out behind pink clouds

Great job on the jeans. Really like the softness of the pink and it goes well with your blouse.

Very nicely done and thank you for the link to the tutorial. I may have to try this, too! I've been thinking of tie dying some jeans with bleach, too. I saw another blogger (Charity Shop Chick, I think) on here do that and it came out really cool!
