The linen skirt is a re-fashion: It used to be too big, and it shrunk to the right size in the hot dye bath. Once a bland baby-blue with bright green tropical leaves... I used RIT Dyes Black & Brown together and got this lovely purple-brown, it's almost an antique-y shade. And now I wear it all the time (along with my pizza).

Loving my dyed skirt! YAY! |
Am I "wearing" pizza?
Do any of you feel ambivalent about your body's size and shape?
I'm using the word "ambivalent" because in my head I know that my 140 lbs. is properly distributed on my 5'5" frame. However, I peruse your blogs and see skinny-Minnie's doing re-fashioning; many women my age are so slim and slender. I feel unacceptably plump and then I wonder, should I give up my homemade pizza and re-fashion my diet? After I bite into a slice of my homemade whole wheat vegetable pizza, dripping with melted mozzarella, I think, nah... I'll wear it.Hips...Bottom...Thighs... *sigh* Extra cheese seduces me. |

Sing it sister! Life's too short, providing you aren't using food for the wrong reasons.
That pizza and your skirt look SO right!

Before I read the last part of your post, I was wishing I had a figure like yours. I don't long for skinny, I long for curvy average. I am your height but much much heavier. When I was your weight, unfortunately only about 12 ounces of it was in the...um...upper curve, LOL. So eat your semi-healthy pizza and enjoy!
You have the right of it! And if I had a homemade whole wheat veggie pizza, I'd be eating a *huge* portion of it. That looks delicious. And your skirt looks great too! :) -Seeks, EOD
