I get super excited when I find awesome vintage clothes in the opshops...like this dress I bought for just $3:
I started my refashion by unpicking the neck facing, cutting off the sleeves and a big chunk of the hem. I then fitted it on myself and took it in for a more shapely fit:
I decided it needed sleeves again so 1st I tried downsizing the original sleeves but they looked weird with the mini length so I took them out and cut my cap sleeves from the leftover hem I had cut off. I cut out the neckline more to give it some interest & used the original facing to finish it.
Soo happy with my finished dress:
