Spring Hoodie

Greetings, All! This is my first post here at the Co-op. I love to sew, and most of my materials come from thrift stores. I enjoy seeing other people's creations here on the Blog, and now I'll start sharing, too!

I have a fondness for velour and have built up quite a stash. I also love hoodies, and thought the two would go together quite nicely.

I started out with these pieces. (I ended up not using the rose-pink).

I used this pattern, making up my own color-blocking.

Here are the pieces.

Spring Hoodie!

(there are a few more photos & words about this project over at my blog).

Wow! I had never thought of cutting a pattern out using clothes like this. I love the result, will have to try this!!

Yes that is really amazing. Well thought of! I might just have to try that out too.

Thank you for joining us!

Enjoy,

Looks great! The colors work well together and the color blocking construction made efficient use of the different fabrics. Keep it up :-)
