Refashioning Sheets

Hey all I've had a rough week but like always sewing seems to do me good by focusing my energy into doing something productive.
So today I pulled out these thrifted sheets:
My sister bought 2 identical sheets with the intention of getting me to make her & her new hubby some of my infamous "sheet pants" (aka pyjama bottoms made from retro sheets). So I figured I would get stuck in so I could take them as a gift when I go visit with them this Easter weekend at their new home :)
His & hers sheet pants!
Making those only used one sheet so I took the other and folded it in half and half again and started to cut:
To make a full circle wrap skirt for myself ;) I used the wide hemmed end of the sheet for my waist band and made ties out of scraps. I used my awesome 1/4" hemmer foot to sew a perfect hem:
And here's the finished skirt:

Nice. I'm about to refashion some sheets too. I think it'll be a bubble skirt.

I love my hemmer foot! I just got one. I wish I had bought it years ago. I also have some total 70s floral sheets that are going to be a dress one day.

Those are beautiful prints on your skirt! Are they really sheets? I wish I can find sheets that nice in my local thrift store.
