Hi Everyone,
My name is Jill Clark (but since it's a common name, you can find me everywhere online as Jill Mandy). This is my first blog post on Refashion Co-op and I can't wait to bring you more. I really love the idea of Refashioning and this blog is a great place for people to share their ideas.
Today's approach is very simple (something to help me ease into the community here). I have a handbag that I love because it's versatile and it's my go-to handbag when doing heavy duty shopping. I can sling it across the body so it doesn't interfere and I don't have to worry about setting it down and forgetting it. It also isn't tiresome on the shoulders. Of course the cute bow on it makes it that much more special (I love bows). For a few months I have been living with the zipper pull deteriorating because it's pleather and I wanted to fix it so I can continue to open my handbag. Now that i have done this, I'm going to refashion all my handbag zipper pulls this way. The possibilities are endless.
(Please visit my blog at www.jillmandy.com if you would like to see how this was done)
To do the project as a complete refashion you can take a pair of existing dangle earrings, remove the earring post and attach the earring to the slider on the zipper. All you need is a pair of round nose pliers to recreate the loop around the slider.
Not only have you repurposed old earrings but also refashioned your handbag!!!
