A Skirt to Cami Refashion
My first refashion for fall is a skirt to cami remake. I like to layer camisoles under jackets and sweaters for chilly mornings and then wear it as is when the weather warms up.
This cami started out as a $1 H&M thrift store skirt. I fell for the pretty rose print against the dramatic black background.
I used Itch to Stich's Crystal Cove Cami pattern for this project. My favorite feature is the overlapping back. Isn't it adorable?

denim dress into shorts

Summer unfortunately is behind us 👣, but we can still count on quite a few warm ☀ days,
although not so warm to jump into shorts without tights and full boots but
who said that shorts look bad in combination with boots 👢 and long sweater❓👚.

Refashioning Old Shirts
Hello Refashion Co-op. I have been focusing on some basics. This striped shirt is an old refashion. The sleeves were too long and my son said it looked like a jail uniform. I dyed it and made short sleeves. I also added an elastic waistband but never seemed to wear it.
I decided to make a more simple short sleeved top. The tunic length didn't work on me and a simple top will get more wear.
***SHIRT 2***
This striped shirt was great but it got a terrible spot on one side of the chest. It was really noticeable. I used some scrap material to make a pocket. It hid the spot and I lied the floral with the stripe. I added a little pocket on the sleeve just for fun.
I wore it to run errands and took a quick selfie at the store.

The world's longest refashion
It took me six (six!) summers from beginning to end, but I'm happy to say, I finally succeeded in converting a dress I didn't much like into a skirt I mostly like. I went from clueless to overly ambitious to desperate to finish, to finally, finally finished! Never give up!
In the end, it turned out to be a fairly simple skirt (in other words, it really should not have taken 5 years!).
The most challenging part was my attempt at a proper waistband and zipper closure (it would have been just fine with an elastic waist!).
Ah, well, live and learn! If you want to see a year-by-year of all the things I tried with this project, click on over to my blog post!

Frilly Unicorn Refash
Who doesn't love a good unicorn shirt?!

I was lucky enough that a friend of mine gifted me this super awesome unicorn shirt!

I shortened the shoulders.

After the shoulders were more fitted, I added this greyish ruffle at the neckline.
A simple update for an already awesome top!

Happy Refashioning!!!

Dress from men's shirt

I found this lovely men's shirt in my
local second hand , it's 100 % egyptian cotton and has beautiful claret
color. At first I thought to make simple shirt from it but after
watching Assos site I knew that dress will be much better choice .

Pajamas Galore
Hello Refashion Co-op. I had a dress that I didn't now what to do with. This peach dress was SO...peachy. I just didn't like it as a dress. It also had a revealing key hole that I didn't like either. What did I do with it? That's right pajamas!
I cut the top of the dress off. That was my new pajama top. I used the skirt to make some pajama shorts. Easy as pie!
That long sash was used to finish the bottom edge of the top. I also used a small piece to fill in that key hole opening.
I liked the first set of pajamas so much I made a second set from this long pink maxi dress. You can't have too much lounge wear right?
I did exactly the same things with this dress. It was simple and quick sewing.

I Made A Jumpsuit
Hello Refashion Co-op. I turned this maxi-dress into a jumpsuit. And it was so easy!
The dress fit well in the body so I just needed to cut the legs. It looked like the crotch was too low but when I added an elastic waistband it turned out perfect.

Comic Book T-shirt 3
Hello Refashion Co-op. I have been on a t-shirt refashion binge lately. This Captain Marvel shirt turned out to be my favorite.
This shirt was a men's size and was really big on me. That's OK. I cut out a simple sleeveless style shirt in my size. I used a shirt that fit well as a size guide. I made some extra room at the bottom for my hips. That helped the fit because this shirt didn't have any stretch.
I cut a narrow strip of fabric from the shirt scraps. I tied the shoulders to make them more gathered and narrow. It made a more interesting neckline.
