More December Dresses

Hello Refashion Co-op. December has been a really busy month. I hope you are all well and happily sewing your way into 2021. I have been refashioning dresses all month in honor of Dressember. Dressember is a nonprofit organization fighting human trafficking.

Here are a few of my dress refashions.

The Giraffe One

The Maternity One

The Shirt One

The Tie-Dye One

Just in time for summer...

...My need for these will be in 5-6 months because it's summer here in Australia.  They're for filling the gap between my jacket cuff and shorter gloves when cycling in really cold weather.

Yes, I forgot to take the before photos but they were just knee high socks.  They had just the right sort of snug fit for gloves or sleeve or gleeves and they don't roll down in use.  There are two of them, but I didn't take any decent photos with my left hand, being a righty. The other one says 'right'. They took me an extraordinary time to complete given how little work went into them.

Happy repurposing and may your 2021 be bright!

Bralette

I had this swimsuit FOREVER. I wore it every year until the point my family was sick of it. I reluctantly got a new one. I still held onto it though. While looking for a project, I stumbled upon it. The elastic was dry rotted and there was a no way I would ever be able to wear it again. I needed to make a muslin for a sports bra, so decided to use the fabric. It’s not as supportive as a sports bra but is more comfortable like a bralette. I used McCall pattern 4261.

December Means Dresses

Hello Refashion Co-op. I refashion dresses all month to raise awareness about human trafficking. I am an advocate with Dressember. I am wearing dresses(Or ties!) all month to support this organization.

December is also a busy month at my day job. I have done 3 refashions so far this month. This denim dress became a jacket. I am still working on the rest of the dress.

This tight dress and sweater became a 2 piece outfit that fit me a lot better.

This gray dress just needed to find it's waist. I stitched in some elastic and it became a whole different dress that looked more flattering on me.

You can see these recent refashions at the I Can Work With That blog. Thanks for reading along.
