how to a cowl neck dress from pajama

To create this cowl neck dress I used thrifted pijama in lovely flower pattern.
It's 100% viscose , great fabric for summer .
As you can see on photos and video , pijama is quite big so I had a lot of material for this dress.
As first thing I mark patterns on fabric with 1 cm seam allowance , next cut  them out.
Sew  parts together , create straps and sew them to dress and voila

Shop my closet for voile tops.

#55-56  Shop my closet for voile tops.
Voile tops in fall colors will be perfect in September when Texas is still 100+ degrees.
BEFORE: These voile tops were in my closet. I did not wear them due to elastic shirring in bands along the bottom edges.
AFTER: Voile or knit camis will be worn under. I will pair with capri pants and sandals. And still melt in the Texas fall heat.
WORK DONE: Elastic was gently removed and lightly pressed.

Before

Before: elastic shirring

After: elastic removed

After: Elastic removed

V-neck Tie-up Ruffle Hem Crop top

As my before fabric to this refashion I used thrifted man's shirt in lovely baby blue color, it's 100 % egyptian cotton. Perfect material for summer.
From the very beginning I planned to change it to very trendy lately ruffle hem crop top.
I began from cutting off  excess material from the bottom. Next I resize the shirt a little , my last step was to make and sew on a ruffle.

The Leggings Skirt

Hello Refashion Co-op. How are you doing? I am still working through the refashion pile during this Corona time and decided to put this "skirt" together with these leggings. It is not really a skirt. It is the lower half of a sad dress. It needed a waistband to be a skirt. These leggings were getting a bit old and thin so I thought it would be a good pairing.
This is the "skirt" piece. It was slit on both sides. I sewed one side shut and open up the other side. I wanted a wrap skirt.

I attached the skirt to the inside of the leggings. Then I stitched the waist down on the outside. I think this is a method Saga wrote about and it is now one of my favorite ways to make a quick elastic waistband.
I saw the the leggings were longer than I thought they would be. I shortened the leggings too.

I liked my wrap skirt and I like the idea of having leggings underneath if I get wild at the playground.
(I have a 5 year old. It could happen.)
This black leggings skirt didn't photograph well. Here is a very bright picture that shows the skirt better.

JEANS REFASHION into tennis skirt

To this transformation as my before fabric I used thrifted jeans in cold red color.
Days are really hot now so I decided to refashion them into tennis skirt .
I wanted it to be really flared at the bottom .
