Black and flowery top

So same story, different dress. I fell for the flowered material on this dress/mumu. They were so bright and vibrant. The fabric was light and wonderful for the heat here in Alabama. It was $1 at the thrift store, again always a steal for me! The question was what would I make with it?

Here is the first item I have made out of this dress. I used the bottom to create a strapless top. Then used one of the ties and attached it to the center of the top and can tie it around my neck.

It was pretty easy and quick to make, for more see my blog. I am still trying to figure out what I shall use with the top part. My initial idea has fallen flat. Maybe this weekend I shall get inspired. :)
