Fish Scales Skirt

I found a great sweater skirt at the thrift store. I was going to wear it as it because I thought it was pretty cool, but my husband thought it looked "granny-ish." Instead of wearing it, I sewed strips of sheer fabric cut on the bias. I got the idea from No Big Dill's biased skirt tutorial. It took me FOREVER, but it was definitely worth it. I love this skirt.

It's a solid color with subtle texture, and it's very flattering. I probably won't do something like this again because of the time it took unless I'm very inspired.
