Just a quick one

I’m afraid i don’t have before pictures for this one, but it was essentially a sleeveless summer dress, so i haven't changed much about the style of this item.

I did some cutting and hemming around the neckline to create two points which would lead up into my halterneck straps, and took a large scoop out of the back of the dress. I then used pink yarn to blanket-stitch around my new edges to create a base for me to crochet into, then did some very simple crochet stitches all around the new neckline and back shape i had made. I crocheted some ties for the halterneck and a long string to lace up the back of the dress, and voila!

I doubt this will be getting an outing into the real world until next summer, but then it will be lovely! More refashioning fun on my blog.

Blanket stitching sounds like such a clever way to add interest to the dress. The back view looks fab!
