My heap of clothes waiting to emerge like butterflies from their refashioning cocoon is growing. Problem is finding time to spend on them. Here's a very speedy refashion I did today.
I saw this dress in a charity shop - just right for my dungaree loving teenage daughter - apart from that strange frill to the hem. Five minutes with the stitch ripper later. . . .
A much more presentable dress. I just need to match the brown top stitching thread to finish the hem.
What does everyone think about giving a refashioned charity shop purchase as a Christmas present?

A hat from a sweater (again)
Here's my latest hat - a man's beanie made from a felted sweater.
The black contrasting overlocker thread made it look more masculine/outdoorsie I thought - didn't stop me stitching a love heart inside though!
PS Frankenstein was refashioned himself from plastic milk bottles.

Hat from a felted sweater
I used a pattern bought from kalliedesigns on etsy.
Here's the finished article, jauntily modeled don't you agree?

Customised vest
Lace from a vintage table cloth added to a charity shop vest. "Don't get my face in" said my daughter.

Hello and thanks for the invite . . . .
Hi, I'm Susan/snippa - new to Refashion Co-op but not to refashioning!
Here's a recent project of mine - blouse from dressing gown.
I don't have pictures of the original garment - blue and white striped seersucker which I dyed.
I cut the pattern from a favourite shop bought T-shirt.
Looking forward to sharing more fun with folks who don't think I'm crazy for making blouses from dressing gowns!
Thanks again,
Susan
