three refashions

I bought this triangle dress thing for five bucks, and even though it wasn't outdated or anything, I decided to refashion it into some things that are more my style, and more useable:

i liked the cami so much I made another zipperless one out of my dad's old tee:

It was super easy and fast, and I made a little tutorial for my blog.  Check it out!

vintage fabric top (tutorial on my blog)

So this is a top made from some crazy vintage fabric that I rescued from the reject pile.  If you want to make it, it uses about a yard of fabric plus some lace, and should be pretty easy to size and sew, and also to tweak if you want.  I love it!  I think it worked great for this poor fabric.  It has a new life!Lol

Check out the tutorial on my blog and let me know what you think!  This is my first tutorial.  Hope you like it!

dress refashion

A slightly complicated refashion, using the skirt and sleeves of a dress I got for free that I had sitting around for a while:

backpack attempt

This backpack, made from a men's coat and a leather jacket, is not something I like a whole lot. When I have it on, it doesn't sit very well.

I will try to make a backpack again, because I know what I need to do to make it sit right. Not for a while though, and not with leather! (My sewing machines hated me.)
