backpack attempt

This backpack, made from a men's coat and a leather jacket, is not something I like a whole lot. When I have it on, it doesn't sit very well.

I will try to make a backpack again, because I know what I need to do to make it sit right. Not for a while though, and not with leather! (My sewing machines hated me.)

Check out my blog!

I'm sorry it doesn't sit well on your back. But it does look great!

i agree with "mommy" it looks nicely finished...could you possibly make a lining for it? that might help.

It looks beautiful. Maybe you could take off the backpack straps and make it more of a messenger bag, over-the-shoulder style?

thanks for the tips! I am thinking about trying a few things to fix it, but I think it will have to wait a while...I'm a little frustrated with it right now!

It looks nice in the photos at least =). I agree a lining might give it some structure, or perhaps you can just "decide" that this was the look you were going for? I think the wool and leather mix beautifully. To me, it looks inspired!
